Learn the fundamentals of the traditional indian practice: Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
This workshop is designed to introduce participants to the key principles and practices of this dynamic and traditional style of yoga. During the session we will cover part of the primary series (Sun salutations, standing poses and ending poses), while learning the importance of breath control, and the concept of a steady and comfortable posture.
This workshop will also cover essential components of Ashtanga Yoga, such as drishti (gaze points), the breath in vinyasa (breath-synchronized movement) and bandhas (energy locks). Participants will learn how to cultivate a focused and meditative state of mind while moving through the practice.
