About Us
The idea for Island Yoga was born in 2005 when David Sharpe, the founder, heard stories of an enchanted south Thailand island that time and the modern world had yet to discover. He made the 2 hour journey from the Tonsai Railey climbing mecca to Koh Kao Noi and discovered a pristine natural island, full of outdoor adventure, (especially climbing), preserved culture, and rich tradition. Here on this peaceful easy going island, he found the ideal setting for the perfect fusion of yoga retreats and outdoor adventure.

Now the fun and light is expanding as our family is growing. Our focus is to raise consciousness, expand health, give empowerment and to share our love and light with the world… to inspire and create all around more joy and love in the world….while we have super amazingly beautiful outdoor adventures…in one of the most stunning places in the world!! Each one of us brings our own unique experiences and gifts to Island Yoga and wish nothing more than to help, co-create and share. We are yoga teachers, rock climbing guides, Reiki teachers, physical therapists, dancers, kayakers, hikers, healers, adventurers, travelers and more. We welcome you with open arms into our beautiful family!
